Officina 00: Old Street's Rustic Italian Kitchen

If you've made it through the building site slash bustling commercial hub that is Old Street roundabout, then you deserve a great big plate of pasta. Sitting at 156 Old Street, Officina 00 takes on a rustic Italian kitchen with green brick tiles and live pasta making in the window. You instantly feel at home and run the risk of serious injury leaning across a neighbours table to get a whiff of whatever they've ordered.

The menu is concise, there are a select number of refined dishes available and they do them all very very well. There is even a handful of gluten-free pasta dishes which are just a carefully selected and put together as the rest of the menu - a very tough find in a city as gastronomically diverse as London. Every dish is authentically Italian, effortlessly hearty and mind-blowingly satisfying.

Our recommendation: Stop in for lunch and order the Corzetti, Wild Mushroom, Fennel, Sausage and Parsley. Definitely try the Spicy cherry cocktail with Lambrusco - it does not disappoint.
