"Unignorable" Tower for Toronto's Homeless

There are 116,000 families and individuals who are homeless in Peel, Toronto and York Region. United Way is the not-for-profit behind this incredibly clever campaign which creates a visual demonstration of how vast a number of people are struggling with homelessness and poverty in the prosperous city of Toronto. According to United Way there are more people living in poverty in the GTA than anywhere else in Canada.

"A TOWER THAT REPRESENTS THE 116,317 GTA INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES STRUGGLING TO PUT A ROOF OVER THEIR HEADS. THIS TOWER ISN’T REAL. THE PROBLEM IT REPRESENTS IS." - United Way.

Created by Toronto based Taxi Agency the project utilises augmented reality in app form to immerse the user in this reality where the tower eclipses the usual skyline.
