Perhaps one of the most important cars of the decade, the Porsche Taycan is their very first fully electric performance car. It’s expected to redefine expectations around performance electric vehicles altogether and could even signify the end of petrol performance cars as we know them.
A fully electric car with 800 volt technology, the Taycan is low to the ground, wide and has many of the style and aesthetic features of a traditional Porsche. It is a saloon not a sports car and the rear is emblazoned with the legendary “Turbo” name despite there being no turbo charger in the car as there is in Porsche’s petrol models.
The car prioritises efficiency with the ability to shut down the rear engine whilst cruising, but it does not compromise on performance or style. We’re excited to see the ripple effect this introduction has on the motor industry and how other manufacturers will respond to this irreversible development for the performance EV world.
