Both calming and breathtaking, Anxo Vizcaíno's 'The Birth' series combines motion graphics, illustration and digital art.

A muted yet vibrant colour palette depicts desert scenes where sand dunes both hide and reveal abstract anthropomorphised objects and geometric elements. The series toys with ideas of buried treasure and the incredible preservation power of sand.
“Personal project in which I wanted to experiment with textures and light while keeping exploring some of my favorite subjects. I always loved how desert produces such beautiful shapes and how objects can be buried and unearthed so purely in its sand. This trio of illustrations is about creation, the order of matter and the passage of time as an instrument for things to happen. Then I decided to create these short loopable animations for each piece to experiment with movement and completing the narrative."
