Natalie Wong is the Hong Kong-based multimedia artist responsible for the Neon Rap portrait series. Focusing on rap icons such as Jay Z, Tupac, Lauryn Hill, Missy Elliot, Nas and Drake Wong has developed these stunning Neon pieces. By creating a continuous line drawing of each rapper and then tracing the drawing with electroluminescent wire which is affixed to a transparent display, the hand drawn images become neon light artworks. Wong cites Schiele and Picasso as influences and her free flowing drawing style is inspired by the freestyle rap art form.
