T.S Abe is the UK based, Brixton born artist responsible for the incredible #fridataughtme: A decade in self-portraits project. Featuring pencil drawings from 2006 up until 2016, the series of images depicts a young woman growing through life and in artistic ability. It is a very personal and intimate window into the emotional development of an artist. Abe has chosen to develop a select few into animated portraits adding a beautifully life-like air to the project. Inspired by Frida Kahlo the pieces are honest and imperfect making them all the more engaging.
