Prada Resort 2016 : The Rise Of Maximalism

Prada has released the official imagery for their 2016 resort collection ad campaign. Shot by Steven Meisel, the campaign features models Lineisy Montero, Ina Jensen, Lexi Boling, Greta Varlese, Julia Nobis & Meghan Collison. The most striking theme in the campaign is the heavy emphasis on clashing prints and graphics. From the textured metallic background to the vivid printed garments, all of the images are rich in visual layers. This campaign is a clear indication of the rising Maximalist trend. The antithesis to the incredibly popular minimalism trend, Maximalism is all about doing the absolute most. Expect to see OTT layering of accessories, mixed prints and clashing textures.
