A-COLD-WALL X Nike Collab

London based brand A-COLD-WALL has teased a new collaboration with Nike. The two brands are poised to unveil something new in the coming days.

The website defines the pending collection as "A sportswear exploration of brutalist notions." Brutalism is usually a term associated with Brutalist architecture which was most common during the 50's-80's. As a branch of modernist architectural trends, brualtism architecture is often characterised by heavy concrete, monolithic, fortress style structures. A great example is the very Famous Barbican building in London.

A-COLD-WALL as a brand is heavily influenced by British classism and this is represented in the streetwear vs tailoring mash-up the collections often display. This new trainer is sure to pull on those same themes whilst referencing the harsh and uncompromising aesthetics of brutalism.

The founder of ACW, Samuel Ross teased the collection on Instagram, sharing two images showing two halves of a white runner with a geometric line design, ACW branding at the toe and an emphasised cushioned sole. This is looking like one of the most exciting Nike collabs of this winter, giving us architecture, art and British streetstyle all at once.
