Profile: Sameeha Kulkarni SS18 - Summer Sorbet

A collection inspired by the aromas, fruit, flowers, golden sands, and glistening waters of India, Summer Sorbet is a bright and beautiful collection. Relying on texture, trditional cuts and a gorgeous colour palette, the collection oozes vibrancy.

Sameeha has always been surrounded by fabrics as she would often watch her grandmother who used to conduct sewing classes at home. Pulling on her mothers creative vision and father's business influence, Sameeha grew to pursue a career in Fashion design. After refining her talents at JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Mumbai, she has gone on to be awarded the student of the year, and best styling & presentation in the year 2015 and 2016. Not too long after her final examinations, did she get an opportunity to showcase her first collection at the Asian Designer Week, as a NextGen Designer, last year. The label reflects her persona, her vision for art, draped in fabrics, to create visually & aesthetically appealing outfits. Contemporary, fresh and wearable, that speak minimalism and comfort in abundance, along with fine tailoring & details. The label offers, Bespoke and Prêt, for various occasions. She works on appointment basis.
